Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 October 2026
In short: Kinetude has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your workouts, records and answers stay on your device. Two kinds of requests leave it. Downloads of training content and illustrations carry nothing about you. And when the app opens, a random ID created on your device goes to RevenueCat, the service that checks subscriptions for us; if you buy Pro, your purchase history goes too, and the same ID is used to deliver Pro content. That ID isn’t linked to your name, email or Apple Account.
This policy covers the Kinetude app for iPhone and iPad and the website kinetude.com. Kinetude is made by Akaya Labs (“we”). Questions go to support@kinetude.com.
What stays on your device
Everything you enter is stored only in the app’s storage on your iPhone or iPad:
- workouts you log: exercises, sets, weights, reps, times, notes and how hard it felt;
- records, badges, goals and streaks;
- programs you build, and the program you follow;
- your answers to the “For you” questions: goal, experience, days per week, equipment, session length and any injury you mark;
- settings such as language, weight unit and voice cues.
We have no server that receives this data and no way to see it. The injury answer is health-related information, and it too never leaves your device; the app uses it only to choose exercises.
If you use iCloud Backup or back up your device to a computer, Apple includes the app’s data in that backup under Apple’s own terms. We don’t receive it.
What leaves your device
Training content and illustrations
The free program library ships inside the app. When the app opens it asks cdn.kinetude.com whether a newer version of the content exists, and downloads it if so. Exercise illustrations are downloaded from the same server the first time you open them, then kept on your device.
These are plain file downloads. They include no account, no device identifier, no purchase ID and nothing about your training. Like any request on the internet, they reveal your IP address and a basic technical header to the server that delivers the file. The content server runs on Cloudflare, which processes these requests to deliver the files. We don’t use these requests to identify you or to build any profile.
Purchases and subscription status
Kinetude Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple handles the payment and your Apple Account; we don’t receive your name, email address or payment details.
To know whether Pro is active, the app uses RevenueCat, Inc. (United States), a service that verifies App Store purchases for us and acts as our data processor. This happens for everyone, whether or not you have bought anything: each time the app opens, it asks RevenueCat for the subscription status. On first launch the RevenueCat software in the app creates a random anonymous ID on your device. RevenueCat receives:
- that random ID;
- if you have bought Pro, your Kinetude purchase history from the App Store: which plan, purchase, renewal and expiry dates, price, currency, storefront country, and the transaction receipt;
- the technical details any such request carries: app version, iOS version, device language and your IP address.
RevenueCat doesn’t receive your name, email, Apple Account, payment details or anything about your training. We use this data to unlock and restore Pro (app functionality) and to see how the subscription is doing, such as how many trials convert or plans renew (analytics). In App Store terms this is “Purchases” and “Identifiers” data that is not linked to you. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
Pro content
Pro programs and guides are downloaded after you subscribe. For each download the app sends the same random ID to pro.kinetude.com, our download gate, which runs on Cloudflare. The gate asks RevenueCat whether that ID has an active Pro subscription, then sends the file or refuses. It doesn’t store the ID and writes no log of it.
To stop abuse the gate limits how often a download can be requested. It counts requests per IP address and per one-way hash of the ID, in counters that reset after a minute. If Cloudflare’s firewall blocks or challenges a request, Cloudflare’s security events record the IP address, the requested path and the user agent (the name and version of the app or browser) for a limited time. Those records don’t include the ID; we look at them only to deal with attacks.
Ratings and sharing
If you rate the app, the rating window and the App Store page are Apple’s. If you share a workout card, the image is created on your device and goes only where you send it through the iOS share sheet.
What Kinetude doesn’t do
- No account, sign-up or login.
- No ads, no analytics SDK and no crash reporting software.
- No tracking, no data sold or shared for advertising, and no use of the advertising identifier.
- No access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or Apple Health.
Notifications and voice cues
Rest-timer alerts and event reminders are local notifications, scheduled on your device. No notification server is involved. You can turn them off in iOS Settings at any time. Voice cues during timed workouts are spoken by iOS’s built-in speech, on the device.
The website
kinetude.com uses no analytics and no advertising. It sets one cookie, lang, only when you pick a language from the menu, so the site remembers your choice. Fonts and images are served from the site itself. The hosting provider processes your IP address to deliver the pages, as every website host does.
How long data is kept
- Data on your device stays until you delete it or delete the app.
- The random ID stays on your device until you delete the app; a reinstall creates a new one, and Restore Purchases connects your subscription to it.
- RevenueCat keeps the purchase record under the random ID so the subscription can be verified and restored, until we ask it to delete the record.
- The download gate keeps nothing; its rate-limit counters reset after a minute.
- Cloudflare’s security events are deleted automatically after Cloudflare’s retention period.
Your rights
You can ask us to access or delete the purchase record RevenueCat holds. Because the ID isn’t linked to you, we can find your record only from details you give us: write to support@kinetude.com with the purchase date and the order ID from Apple’s receipt email, and we’ll have it deleted in RevenueCat. The ID itself stays on your device, so while the app is installed RevenueCat opens a new record the next time it starts; to make the deletion permanent, delete the app too. Deleting that record doesn’t cancel your subscription: billing stays with Apple, and Apple keeps its own purchase records. To cancel, use your Apple subscriptions.
Deleting the app deletes everything it stored on your device. If you have a question about your data, under the GDPR, the Turkish KVKK or any other law, write to the same address.
Children
Kinetude isn’t directed at children under 13, and it collects no data that identifies a person, from anyone.
Changes
If a future version starts sending anything else, for example an optional backup or sign-in, this policy will be updated before that version is released. The date at the top shows the last change.
